Equality For All

Equality for All, currently on its second round, will continue to strengthen the CoRE Alliance while raising awareness of diversity and empowering local women to be Equality Advocates. Nine women from diverse backgrounds have been employed to champion change across the Grampians region.

Gender Equality in Sport & Recreation

As a regional and rural women’s health service, we recognise the power of sport in preventing violence against women. Our local communities are tightknit and sport is often a key reason for that. Sport can be a great vehicle for change.

Men's Initiative

There is a growing evidence base that demonstrates the need for primary prevention strategies that challenge traditional notions of masculinity which keep gender inequalities alive. The WHG Men’s Initiative aims to build the capacity of men in rural communities to identify and call out gender inequality, sexism and discrimination.

Women in Trades

In the Grampians region, unequal workforce participation in the construction and manufacturing industries remains high. Women’s Health Grampians has a suite of projects which aim to increase female participation in these target industries

Yarning Garden

The First Nations Women’s Yarning Garden project is about creating a safe space for First Nations women to come together on Wadawurrung land, connect with each other and Country, share and learn new skills, all while creating a bush garden from scratch.

Youth Equality for All

Youth Equality For All project provided CoRE members with information and insights into young women’s experiences of inequalities during COVID -19 and beyond, with a focus on the impacts on mental health and employment for young women in the Grampians region.
